PennWhite Certified Kosher For 14th Year
Rabbi Kay from the Manchester Beth Din visited PennWhite on 17th April to perform his annual inspection of our Middlewich facilities. During his visit the Rabbi audited our raw material storage area, production unit and new finished goods and dispatch facility, as well as processes related to the manufacture of our Foamdoctor food-grade foam control agents.
Following his inspection he certified that 41 of our Foamdoctor antifoam and defoamer products are “Kosher and Parev” and conform to the Jewish laws of ritual purity.
This is our fourteenth year of Kosher certification and our new 2015-16 certifcate can be viewed by following the link below. This certificate lists the certified Foamdoctor products which can be shipped with a hechsher, more commonly known as a “Kosher symbol”, on their label.
PennWhite Offer In-House COD Testing
The recent expansion of PennWhite’s laboratory has enabled the business to create a Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) testing station on site.
COD tests are used to indicate the mass of oxygen consumed per litre (mg/L) of aqueous solution. Development Chemist Anthony Burgess explained further, “Essentially COD tests measure the amount of oxygen within a water based solution that is used during the breakdown of the active agent within that solution. This information can be very useful to customers who use a dilution of our product in their process or application.”

PennWhite At H3i Exhibition

Held at the National Motorcycling Museum in Birmingham, H3i (10-11 March 2015) focuses on organisations that manufacture household, industrial and institutional cleaning products or their ingredients. PennWhite Launch Online Sample Service
Free of charge product samples can now be ordered via the “Products” page at www.pennwhite.co.uk. Customers can request 250ml samples of up to three products at one time and they will usually be dispatched in around 5 working days. Sending a request is simple, customers need only enter basic details directly on the Product page, there is no need to register or set up a password.
“Our objective is to make it easier for current and potential customers to obtain samples of PennWhite formulations for trial or examination,” explains Technical Director Mark Humphries, “Over 150 of our key products are listed on the website so most customers will be able to use the new service, but, if you need a sample of a product not featured on the website, or a larger sample of one that is, our sales team can arrange that over the phone, fax or email.”
