We’re excited to take part in Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS) next week.
ESS will be held at NEC, Birmingham (UK) on the 17th and 18th September 2025. Sales Managers Morgan Pitts, Chris Chapman and Micheal Austin will be on stand EN-J42 in the Water, Wastewater & Environmental Management section of the Expo (Hall 20), to explain how we can help busy managers and engineers optimise process efficiency and control, particularly in water treatment and plastic recycling plants.

PennWhite celebrate 40 years
This year PennWhite is marking its 40th anniversary and celebrating four decades of providing control, efficiency and peace of mind to our customers.
PennWhite began by trading chemicals over the phone from a kitchen table in 1985. Over the past 40 years, we’ve grown into a formulator and manufacturer of specialist chemicals including foam control agents, silicone emulsions, lubricants and surface coatings. Our products are now sold in over 50 countries and we remain focused on our founding mission of making the lives of our customers easier.

PennWhite continue to expand India team
We’re pleased to announce that Dhriti Sundar Karmakar has joined our subsidiary PennWhite India as Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing.
Dhriti holds a degree in biology from Calcutta University and has worked in a varied sales and marketing roles within the chemical industry over the last two decades. In his new role he will work alongside Ramesh Ramar (Head of Sales & Marketing, PennWhite India), to help our Chennai plant deliver high performance foam control solutions for our customers in the region.

PennWhite renew kosher and halal certifcations
We received our new kosher and halal certificates for 2025-26 earlier this summer.
After their on-site audit, the Halal Food Authority recertified 31 of our FoamDoctor® products as halal and our operation as compliant with their HFP-1005-20/5 Halal Standard. This is our eleventh year of halal certification. This year marks the 24th anniversary of our first kosher certification and Manchester Beth Din again visited us in Middlewich for their annual audit. They have subsequently recertified 92 FoamDoctor® products as kosher and parev, including two for Passover.
FoamDoctor® has a long track record of helping our customers satisfy the kosher or halal dietary requirements of their customers. We recognise the importance of this to many people and are committed to supporting them.

PennWhite attend World Biogas Expo
Earlier this month we were at the NEC, Birmingham for the World Biogas Expo & Summit. The annual event is the only trade show solely dedicated to the global anaerobic digestion and biogas sector.
Anaerobic digesters use bacteria to break down waste organic matter into biogas and other useful by-products. Unfortunately, the process creates foam that reduces plant efficiency and output. Sales Managers Chris Chapman, Michael Austin and Ginter Szoltysek were at the Expo to explain how FoamDoctor® eliminates unwanted foam, enabling busy plant managers to optimise digester performance and transform waste materials into sustainable products. Our long experience with anaerobic digesters means that our foam control agents will be just as effective in similar fermentation processes used in yeast, pharma and other specialist sectors.
