Pennwhite Certified Kosher For 21st Year
For the first time since 2019, the Manchester Beth Din carried out an on-site audit of our procedures, raw materials and practices earlier this month. Following the visit they have again certified 92 of our FoamDoctor food-grade foam control agents kosher and parev, including one (F2875) suitable for Passover.
Our new 12-month certifcate represents the 21st anniversary of our first kosher certifcation by the Manchester Beth Din.
Pennwhite Halal Certificate 2022-23
Following an onsite audit of our operations and products last month, the London based Halal Food Authority (HFA) has recertified 30 of our FoamDoctor food-grade foam control agents, and our production facility, as halal. A copy of our new 2022-23 certificate, which includes details of the certified products, can be seen here.
We will be submitting more FoamDoctor products to the HFA for their approval over the next few months and hope to eventually offer a range of halal certified products similar in scope to our kosher range which currently stands at 92 products.
Pennwhite at the CBA Annual Lunch 2022
The Chemical Business Association (CBA) held their Annual Lunch in the Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane (London) yesterday. The lunch was attended by almost 1,200 people representing the extensive membership of the CBA.
As usual PennWhite hosted a table of 12 staff and guests and were one of several member companies whose message was projected around the Great Room during the event. Our message this year highlighted some of the steps we have taken to reduce the environmental foorprint of our operations and products.
Clive Anderson delivered the after-lunch speech and the CBA’s chosen charity for this year was Societi, the UK foundation for Kawasaki Disease. The little known disease is the leading cause of aquired heart disease in children and babies in the western world and is of particular significance to one of PennWhite’s management team. More information can be found at www.societi.org.uk.
After the 2020 and 2021 lunches were cancelled due to the pandemic, it was great to spend time with old friends and collegues again. It was also our pleasure to support the CBA who have worked tirelessly to support the UK chemical industry over the last few years as we have all dealt with Brexit, the impact of Covid-19 and global supply chain issues.
